"The hotel was good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was excellent (119) with king size bed and plenty of room. The bathroom was newly decorated and the shower very good. The room, corridors and reception area were clean and tidy. The only negative is that there is no food on site and the leisure facilities are no longer open and will probably never re-open. Food and drink can be found nearby at The Farrier attached to the Premier Inn which was nearly double the price for a nights stay. People who we were meeting stayed there and were disappointed as it was noisy. In contrast, we found The Urban was very quiet. In summary, I would recommend people to stay here whether they are on a business or leisure trip."

"Parking on site. Pleasant and welcoming check in. Hotel busy and vibrant though a bit rundown in places. Choice of English and Indian restaurants on site. The food was hot, tasty, good portions and very reasonable. A 3 course meal with a drink for 2 in the hotel restaurant came in at under £60. All the staff we encountered were friendly, cheerful and very helpful."
