"Lovely relaxing weekend with family"

"Keswick Reach was a lovely place to stay and very secluded... too secluded for us. Our car broke down on day 3 of a 5 day stay. We were left solely dependent on what little food we had, what the shop sold and what the restaurant served. We found the shop lacked items like bacon, sausages, bread, etc but had a lot of sweets and crisps. It is far from other shops so we expected more. My dad can't have cheese as it sets his heart out of rhythm, so he could only have garlic bread when it was pizza...

"I booked this lodge via VRBO as a mini break for my birthday with my 8 year old son. The VRBO website clearly stated that the lodge had a private hot tub, as did my booking confirmation. However, upon arrival I discovered that there was NO hot tub. The actual lodge was lovely but VRBO mis-advertised the property. The lodge was on a holiday park and the reception staff advised that this happens at least once a week with either VRBO bookings or another booking site I’m not allowed to name in the...

"We couldn't fault our lodge (85). If I was to be really picky I'd say the hot tub could have been facing a different way, its cover was blocking our view of the pond when we were sat in it. Many many spiders around too (which my wife wasn't keen on) but there's absolutely nothing you could do about this and something that wasn't a surprise given the beautiful surroundings we were in."

"Beautiful lodge - being a one-bedroom means thereâ€™s just so much space. The bedroom and bathroom are huge and the open-plan kitchen/living room is perfect. We had a veranda looking out over a pond and it was perfect for sitting in the sunshine."
