This is the notorious Preston Castle which was a reform school that closed in 1960. If not for the efforts of the Preston Castle Foundation the State of California would have had it torn down.
Spent a night locked in this abandoned and haunted reformatory with my family and some ghost hunters. We held a seance, took EVPs, and stumbled around in the dark. There were bats and owls flying up and down the pitch black halls. We heard voices coming and had flashlights and other electronic equipment go haywire. Their ghost tours are on hold while repairs are made to the building last time I checked.
