Overall stay was good. firm bed, clean, free breakfast (shower could use an upgrade etc) Right in the heart of downtown so some noise from the bars and from the sea gulls? Prime location and for half the cost of any other hotels in the area

I give this property a solid 4 in its class. That is to say an older, affordable walk-up in the city centre and near the train station. They could renovate, modernize and charge triple the rate. I had to depart before the complimentary breakfast was served but it looked plentiful and fresh. If you’re looking for basic overnight accommodation then this should suit.

The location is excellent, walking a few minutes to the railroad station, pubs with great music, shopping, and more right in the heart of Inverness. The continental breakfast was adequate with quite a selection of cereal, breads, crumpets, juices, and coffee. The bathroom en suite could have used towel racks and the room with twin beds is small. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a good place to sleep for my wife and I since we don't spend much time in the room, too much to do and see. I thought it was quite expensive for the amenities, but seems to be the going rate. Oh, and no elevator to the reception desk on the first floor.

Nice room, two twin beds, excellent toilet/shower. Quiet, but there are squawking seagulls. They're everywhere. Breakfast was decent with coffee, juice, fruit... A little overloaded on the bread. Check-in desk is closed, but staff appeared promptly when called.

Cheap, but wouldn't go back. Room was cold (October), single glazed window. There was a electric wall mounted radiator, but there isn't a room thermostat, and it didn't seem to keep up with the heat loss through the window. Duvet was thin, which didn't help. Bathroom ceiling was moldy, and there was also a patch of mold in the bedroom on the wall attached to the shower. Though the walls do appear to have been recently retiled without cleaning and repainting the ceiling first. Bathroom door catches on the tiles. Shower is small. A large shower gel pump sat on the floor, no basket to hold anything, and difficult to reach when standing in the shower. Electric, so at least held a constant temperature. Extractor fan didn't appear to do anything. Good points - there was some issue when checking in, but the staff were polite and efficient when sorting it out. And aside from the cold and the two mold patches, the room was clean and in good condition

Staff were very nice, stored our luggage, and let us stay to wait for our friends to pick us up. The room was fine except we found the bathroom unclean. We had to ask staff to clean it which they did. The shower was confusing to use. I would recommend to give guests instructions on what to turn on to use the shower. We also didn’t get a floor mat to dry our feet after showering. I feel bad cause they seem understaffed since we had to wait for at least 5 minutes before we can speak to reception. Overall, great location and service. Just need better cleaning, instructions to the shower, and maintenance.

To start, the manager and front desk person were very friendly and accommodating but the room was disappointing. The toilet room faucet constantly drips. The bed linen and towels had stains on them. There were previous reviews stating there were bed bugs in the rooms. The ceiling fan in the toilet was leaking water. The area around the fan was falling apart. It looked as though the fan was about to fall out onto the floor. We were afraid to turn the fan/light on for fear of sparking a fire. We didn't feel comfortable even taking a shower in that room. Definitely do not recommend.
