"This was an amazing property. The history of the hotel dates back to 1200. It was a very up market experience, our room overlooked the fresh clean running river. The room felt like I was in a room in a castle and the bathroom was beautiful as well. The meal experience in the restaurant was such a 5 star experience. I recommend if you want a unique 5 star experience stay at Maryculter hotel. "

"We were told, as we had ordered breakfast, that the chef was unwell and was not able to work. So Bruce rang me and asked what we would like for breakfast, that he was unable to do a cooked one, but what else could he do for us. so he provided cereal, yoghurt and fruit and gluten free toast as well as the usual bread, juice, tea and coffee and porridge. He seemed to be on his own and worked very hard. The service and his professional attitude was much appreciated."

"Great location at the harbour. We walked back to the Inn after seeing Dunnotar castle, and had a drink sitting outside. Staff let us store our luggage in advance so we could go out walking, and got us a table for dinner (very popular place). Quieted down later so no problems sleeping. Nice breakfast and we walked around the harbour and town after breakfast. "

"only for when you get out the car 😀 The hotel was all we expected frm previous reviews. One night stopover for football at Cove Rangers, but would certainly go back for a longer visit. Everything was exceptionally good, except the articesque blast of wind that greeeted us in the carpark. The quality shown through from the staff to the food and the accommodation. Highly recommended. "Amazing stay. Historic house set in beautiful grounds. Amazing that they allow dogs also in such a nice place. Fantastic sand beaches right next to the hotel. Service was excellent, really enjoyed my stay and would stay again. Breakfast was delicious…. Best hotel breakfast I’ve had. An EV car charging point would make this hotel even better as there’s hardly any around in the area and would be great for over night guests to charge whilst there. "
