"We had a wonderful stay. The room was very comfortable, as was the bathroom, which had a retractable clothes line. Halfway through our trip, that was most welcome. Why don’t more hotels have those? Wonderful breakfast. Very helpful and informed staff. Great location. I would most definitely recommend the Avalon hotel."

"The hotel is stunning, it looks like it used to be a very fancy some type of residence a very long time ago. They were able to preserve the incredible craftsmanship and now guests can enjoy staying in these amazing rooms. Our air-airconditioning wasn't working so we had to switch rooms where there were also air conditioning issues, unfortunately we were there in August and it was pretty hot outside. Other then that we absolutely loved the hotel and will definitely stay there again ... ( just get in touch with the hotel prior to arrival to confirm that the air conditining is working)"
