"We had a truly wonderful and peaceful stay at this cabin. The location is incredibly pristine — deep in the woods, quiet, and perfect for a relaxing retreat. The cabin itself was very comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a clean, inviting hot tub/jacuzzi. We even saw deer nearby, which added to the charm.The nearby lake is beautiful, with crystal-clear water. We loved that it was private and had free access to canoes and kayaks. There’s also a connected lake that felt even more secluded and serene — absolutely stunning.We also took a short 15-minute drive to a nearby beach, which was another highlight of the trip. It was quiet, peaceful, and not crowded at all — the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings.The cabin owner was extremely helpful and kind. During a short power outage (4–5hr), they provided lights and even gave us a discount for a pontoon ride as a thoughtful gesture. We took the opportunity to enjoy the silence and do some meditation, which made our experience even more special.One of the most remarkable moments was after our stay — we realized we had accidentally left behind a gold chain valued at over 2,000. We contacted the owner, and to our relief and gratitude, she found it and generously shipped it back to us without hesitation. That level of honesty and care is rare and deeply appreciated.This cabin is perfect if you’re looking for a quiet, nature-filled getaway with a trustworthy and kind host. Highly recommended!"

"The cabin was adorable. Right next to the lake with all sorts of things to do like kayaks, floaty devices, and paddle boat. They had a little store that had DVDs you could borrow and games to play. We even had three deer walk right by our cabin. Kristen and Josh were absolutely phenomenal host. One night the electricity went out. So we decided to go to get something to eat in the pouring rain and super dark out, ended up putting our truck in the ditch and couldn't get it out a nice couple gave us a ride back to the cabin. The next morning I told Kristen what hapened and Josh came over and helped my husband get his truck back. We tried to give money for gas and he wouldn't take it. Absolutely wonderful people who go above and beyond. Would definitely recommend staying here or any of their resorts!!"

"It is a nice rustic cabin to stay in, but it has the amenities you need, including good Wi-Fi - as long as a teenager doesn't unplug the router to plug in a fan. We used it as a base camp to fish area lakes, but it would be a good place to take a smaller outdoor oriented family. There's a lot of yard and a really nice lake with very nice sandy bottom and relatively good fishing."

"Not only is this cabin beautifully decorated, it is perfectly cleaned. Spotless, really. And entirely dog friend, with an open floor plan and nothing extra laying around for a dog to get into. The view is lovely, too! "

"House was clean and well appointed and has a bunch of games and tv. Has multiple spots for fire pits. Great layout for 2 families with kids. Lake is super clear and big and great for swimming, pulling a tube, or water skiing. Rented very nice boat from owner. We had a great time and would return!"

"The property is like new condition and was immaculate upon arrival. Amazing views to the lake and great deck to sit out and enjoy the views. We had rented a pontoon in town and enjoyed see many Loons with their babies out on the lake. We'll be back!"

"Beautiful historic log cabin with all the amenities you would want. The grounds are well kept and very scenic. The area is very peaceful, relaxing, and interesting. This is our second year coming to the Marcel Lodge and have had a fantastic experience both times."
