Perfect Vacation

Relaxing

Property was well kept, loved the access to the river and use of aqua cycle and kayaks. Hot tub was great after the aqua cycle. The whole family loved the weekend. Will stay again in the future.

Perfect Getaway with pets

Had a great relaxing time at the cabin with our dogs. Used the hot tub a lot. Place was clean and had everything you need and close to everything.

Beautiful Setting

We had a great stay at The River’s Edge. Cabin was exactly as pictured and had everything needed to make our vacation awesome. Location was great, close to Mackinac City, Petoskey and Cheboygan. Enjoyed Indian River also as well as Burt Lake Brewery. We would stay there again!

Pictures Undervalue the Experience

Pictures were actually worse than the property looked in real life. Wonderful cabin stocked full of all the amenities and thoughtful adds. A shed full of accessories for boating. Several kayaks and a water cycle were included. Complete peace and quiet on the river every night. Relaxing in the hot tub under the stars was unforgettable. The ONLY complaint is how hard the water is, how it smells like sulfur. A home filtration system would be an amazing addition and pay dividends in satisfaction.

Cold weather hot tub

We arrived just in time for fall to come with us. Though the weather wasn't the best and the fishing with it the property was clean, private, well fenced (for the dog), and the hot tub functioned perfectly. We enjoyed our short stay.

Beautiful sunsets from the hot tub!

Cute place, clean, very well-equipped and comfortable. Very nice view/access to the river - we enjoyed some really beautiful sunsets from the hot tub! Loved the pet-friendly option as well - our vacations are so much more relaxing when we aren't worried about leaving our girl behind. :-)

Wonderful getaway

Beautiful river view, close to everything yet private and quiet. Swans floating by all day and a pair of bald eagles fishing right in front of the cabin! Large bedroom, comfortable bed and very nice cabin decor. Very well stocked kitchen and baths. Jacuzzi was great after a day of skiing. Perfect for the two of us and our doggo.

Great place nice and cozy.

Beautiful cabin and property and property very nice and secluded. Owners are very nice and pleseant to talk to! Nice private dock and paddle boat was nice to use. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Even had car issues and hoast was very understanding about the issue which was very nice. Would stay again.

Quiet Get Away

We werent even there 5 minutes before everyone was getting in the hot tub and having such a beautiful view just off the deck in the winter of the river made it even better. Area was quiet and peaceful and just what we all needed to step away from our busy lives down state. Definetly will be back

Peaceful week

The house was great! Perfect size for us and we loved being able to see the boats pass by on the river from the couch. We appreciated the nice set of dishes...especially the perfect coffee cups! Our dog really enjoyed the fenced in yard and the ability to run in to cool off whenever he wanted. Such a relaxing week! Dorene and John were an incredible pleasure to work with. Very accommodating and helpful, I wish all property managers had this approach.

Serene getaway!

It was so nice to spend the holidays in this lovely cabin. Dorene is super easy to get in touch with, responsive, and very helpful. The cabin is comfortable, has great amenities. Hot tub is lovely to warm up in the winter! Spent a lot of time bird watching. The swans are beautiful and we found a bald Eagle nest. Can’t wait to come back!

Winter Wonderland

The house was very clean and the check in process was easy. The owners of the house even reached out to us that we could check in early because of a winter storm getting ready to hit the area so we were able to get on the road earlier in the day. That right there should tell you alot about who you are renting the house from. I give the house 5 stars and will be returning in the near future! O and the view from the deck is amazing looking over the Indian River where we saw numerous bald eagles cruising the river looking for a meal. Great place overall.

Peace on the river!

We had a great stay while skiing in Harbor Springs. The house was only 20 minutes from the ski hills & the hot tub was the perfect way to wind down each night. The house was perfect for our family of 3. Clean, tidy & offered all the amenities as advertised. The location is peaceful & private with scenic views overlooking Indian River. We saw eagles & swans daily- our teenage son got a kick out of "calling" to the swans, they waited for him daily in the am & they'd "talk" back & forth! Dorene was helpful with any questions we had prior to arrival. We'll be back!
