"The elevators were taking too long so we had to take the stairs and OMG i felt like we were walking into a horror movie. There was so much debri it was so dark which could have led to a safety hazard at the last set of stairs we had to take. It even looked like a homeless person was staying down there once upon a time. The whole time I was walking down there, I was waiting for a Rat to jump out at me, that's how bad it was. There was even a old pillow full of what looked like piss on it. We came out of there feeling very dirty and disgusted. The property is very old light fixtures are broken and looks like they r trying to renovate over it in a very cheap way. The stairs were located by the back parking lot. Something so easy as using a leaf blower and once a week observation in all stairwells can avoid this hot mess."

Hilton Vacation Club Lake Tahoe Resort South

"Our stay at Hilton Vacation Club South Lake Tahoe did not feel like a relaxing vacation experience. The property felt more focused on timeshare sales every time your work in the door, rather than guest comfort and hospitality. One major disappointment was the lack of daily room service, which guest has be scheduled well in advance. The pool area service was also inconvenient. There were no drinks or meal services available poolside, so I had to walk to the bar to place food orders and then wait 30–45 minutes before picking them up and returning to the pool. Another frustrating policy was that late check-outs were only offered to guests who attended the timeshare presentation sessions, which made the experience feel even more sales-driven. Considering we paid over $500 per night, the overall experience did not meet expectations. I have stayed at other Hilton Vacation Club properties before and received much better service and hospitality."

"Great location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean. Bring your own toilet paper as theirs is very thin. Jackets are recommended as it's cooler by the lake. This hotel has a decent pool and hot tub with lake views."

Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Heavenly Village Area

6/10 Okay

"There were whiskers on the shower wall when we got in. The rest of the room felt clean. Even though the outdoor pool is out of service, that space could be tidied up a bit. The continental breakfast had high carb, high sugar options, and dd not include protein or fresh fruit. The bed was comfortable, water pressure was good and overall our sleep experience was comfortable."

3 Peaks Resort & Beach Club

6/10 Okay

"Was excited to stay in this place because it had a pool. Upon checking in we were notified that the pool was not in service! My fault I guess I should have asked before booking but nothing stated of their pool not being in service online. Staff was not the friendliest at check in or check out. The sink faucet was so loose not tightened at all, shower felt like you were going to break trying to turn it on."

Harrah’s Lake Tahoe – A Caesars Rewards Destination

"I liked to stay in Harrah's in the past years when I spent my vacations in South Lake Tahoe, due to the convenience of self-parking and the great buffet. Right now the general conditions have totally changed: there is no more buffet, the breakfast at the Brew Brothers is not as good as the previous cafe underground, and the worst thing is that almost the whole public area is under renovation with new carpet and new machines, which makes chaos everywhere. The only good thing is that the self-parking is still as great as before. Hope Harrah's will become great again soon."
