"We arrived late after a long drive. The A/C unit in the room was very loud. Maintenance looked into it but couldn’t fix it. We were already settled in and were only staying one night, so we decided to deal with it. Each time the fan kicked on it woke me up."

"The reviews for this hotel were good. When we arrived we were extremely disappointed. The building was under construction. Self parking ($30 per day surcharge) was quite a walk to the entrance, and not in good condition. I did not see lighting but it was daytime so could have existed. Upon entering, the front desk clerk was efficient and pleasant. The hotel did not seem clean. When we got in the elevator to go to our floor it soon became obvious that the elevators were not working properly. The doors would not open on our floor in at least four attempts of pushing the correct button. The noises coming from the elevators were unsettling at best. After getting out a few floors above our’s when the doors did open, we realized there was no way we could carry our luggage down two flights. The thought of dealing with the elevators was overwhelming. What if the doors didn’t open at all and we were stuck? At that point we made the decision to go back to the front desk, cancel our reservation, and find accommodations elsewhere. The front desk clerk was polite, said she understood and that the elevators were a problem, and promised to call the company with which we booked to begin the refund process . She also promised we would not be charged for our short timeframe parking. I’m hoping my refund comes through quickly as promised. Definitely not a hotel we would recommend. I have never had an experience like this in decades of travel."

"Staff was great, promote immediately. Rooms were ok, bathrooms were okish. There was still mildew on the bottom of the tubs, the sink drained very slowly and the AC unit had a terrible rattle. But overall the stay was decent. Would we come back yea, but it wouldn't be our first choice."

"Wonderful hotel, terrific vibrant location uptown Charlotte, great dining on premises and many locations nearby. Be prepared for steep parking fees ($36/night when I visited), next time I'll definitely use the train - Amtrak and commuter rail stop on the same block as this hotel."

"We were on the 4th floor in room 400. Literally the last room by the exit. Our room had an adjoining room door and an odd elevator hoistway door inside. Our stay was very noisy. It sounded like people were bowling above us. While was helpful except for Tina at the front desk. She was rude and had an attitude and seemed annoyed when asked for assistance with our card keys. Also, parking was such a hassle. Hotel says they validate not what they really mean is you park on the garage, they stamp your ticket and you pay the hotel. Nah. Why are we paying to park our car when we’re paying to stay at the property. We won’t stay here ever again."
