The weather wasn't great and the hotel doesn't have a communal leisure area so all you have is your bedroom which gets pretty boring after 3 days of rain...
The parking space is a bit far to the rooms and the walkway is completely pitch black. It was a nightmare to get to the car and back to the room every evening. Muddy feet, I kicked a rock on one night and hurt my toe as I couldn't see a thing (so much iPhone torch can do), etc.
Plus no one offered to help with the luggage. You can't roll any luggage as the walkway is all up and down and grass, so you have to carry everything yourself.
They were also setting up the hotel for NYE party everyday from 8am till sundown. No one bothered to let us know or even apologised for the inconvenience. It was literally a building site outside our room.
The location is incredible, but if the weather is not good, this is a terrible place to stay. The room is an igloo shape and has glass doors all around. So you either completely exposed to everything and everyone or in complete darkness as you will have to close the shutters.
If the weather is good, an average place to stay. if the weather is bad, you are screwed. and definitely avoid mid-December till NYE as you will have no peace.
Staff is friendly (ish). Some of them super nice (like Miguel at Bfast) and others are just bored to be there and have no idea what hotel service means... Ah! and they forgot to clean our room... so had to call reception at 3pm to remind them!
