"Needs updating "

"I had a very nice stay at this hotel while attending the Illinois State Fair. I stayed in the original part that was built for Route 66 traffic. The lobby and common areas has lots of Route 66 memorabilia to enjoy. The hotel and my room was very clean, comfortable, and very well maintained. My room was large. I believe the hotel was updated in the late1990s so the decor is a bit dated, but is in great shape. I had read a few reviews that said the hotel smelled, but this was definitely NOT the case. Next time I'm in Springfield, I'll stay here again"

"It was close to the fairgrounds, quiet, clean. It was better than some Hilton’s I’ve stayed at. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. "

"The room was clean and comfortable. We liked the size of the room as 4 adults we didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. Definitely liked the complimentary snacks and water. "

"Good for options. My only suggestion would be to add chicken or turkey for those that don't eat beef or pork. Bed was very comfy and all other amenities were great! "

"The people at the desk, cordial and accommodating. When I walked in the hotel seemed very clean. When I got to my room, my room was spotless. The bed was very comfortable, and the towels were unbelievable, very soft and plush. I got a great sleep that night. In the morning, the breakfast was very good and the ladies working the breakfast were very accommodating. When I’m in the area. I will always stay at this hotel."
