The Inn is beautiful and has a calm feeling to it. The owner was very nice and polite. This is a definite place to go if you are looking for a traditional Japanese home experience!

Great

The owner is super cute and speaks very good English! We were only there for one night, but I wish we had stayed longer. The hotel is old and traditional, but the room is comfortable and has all the amenities you'd need. One of the best parts is that there is a private onsen inside. The views from the room and onsen were incredible, overlooking all of the town below and the nature around. Breakfast was also included, and tasted great! The town around is also very beautiful, and really quiet considering it's so close to both Osaka and Nara. Taking a walk to the nearby shrine is a must if staying here. It is worth noting that you have to take the cable car up from Ikoma Station.

Shiroyama stay

The owner was very nice and tried her hardest to speak English which she didn’t have to do but was very appreciated. The room was beautiful, very traditional and really gave us an authentic Japanese experience. The only issues were it was inaccessible for those with disabilities, there’s not really ramps in ikoma, at least the route we took, we also has to walk down stairs to get to our room, there wasn’t an elevator. The only other thing was that we had a basement 2 room, which wasn’t bad but the door to our room was lockable only from the outside of our room, thus if someone locked us in, there is no way for us to get out which can be a little scary and sort of a fire hazard. Other than that it was great.

낡은 시설이지만 청결하게 관리되고 있었습니다. 조식도 맛있게 먹었습니다. 다만 제일 아래층이라 야경을 볼 수 없었고, 와이파이 신호가 약했습니다. 멀리서 구글맵으로 경로를 검색하면 이상한 유료도로로 안내해줘 편도 350엔을 내고 산길을 헤메야 했습니다. 고속도로에서 나온 후 나라시에서 무료도로를 검색해서 찾아가시면 더욱 쉬운 길로 갈 수가 있습니다.

チェックインの時に色々と丁寧に説明していただきました。 浴場は狭いので時間を区切って貸切となっていましたので、希望時間を伝えてゆっくり入浴できました。 晴れていれば、奈良方面側の部屋からは夜景が楽しめます。 夜も静かで熟睡できました。
