"This was an unscheduled stop on route to Cornwall due to bad weather. What a pleasant surprise, a beautiful old Inn a short distance from the A30. The staff were friendly and helpful, great service a lovely evening meal and an excellent breakfast. We will definitely be returning with hopefully better weather."

"Check-in was at the bar. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There's limited on street parking but I was lucky enough to a space right outside. The food in the bar/restaurant looked superb and it was fairly busy when I got there, however I didn't try the food as I already had other plans for the evening. I did have a drink at the bar and the prices were reasonable. I was shown to my room, which was in a separate block adjacent to the bar and beer garden. The ground floor room was clean...

"This is a lovely old little B&B, with a cute country charm and lovely, friendly staff. Great food for vegetarians at breakfast and dinner. Nice room with lovely views of the countryside. Due to the rural and old nature of the pub, it was a little dusty and probably in need of a lick of paint, but this certainly shouldn’t deter people from staying. It was everything we needed during our stay!"

"If you are looking to stay in a traditional English Pub, this is the place. Cozy rooms with great washroom facilities. Very clean and comfortable beds. Rooms are equipped with electricity outlets, wifi and tv for those needing it. The pub itself is fantastic with a very well stocked bar. "Hugh and Denise were the most welcoming hosts. The room was comfortable and warm and the evening meal and breakfast were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at the Elephant’s nest. "

"The Globe is a terrific inn in Chagford. The people who run it are friendly and welcoming. They very kindly went above and beyond to get the room ready a bit earlier for us so we could attend a wedding in the church opposite. Speaking of - what a glorious view from our room! Our room was clean and comfy and full of charm and it was great to have a sign on our table welcoming us to breakfast the next morning. "
