"The Apollo is an old quaint building with a few charming quirks. It is very convenient to the train station, the pier/beach and the funky downtown area. We walked everywhere and felt safe but there was an abundance of litter on the sidewalks from both people and seagulls that tear open and scatter garbage which does not seem to get cleaned up. The proprietor was very nice and the building was secure. While the bed was comfortable, bed linens need to be upgraded. "

"The guest house owner messaged before arrival to find out the arrival time so all was ready. A very warm welcome was ready for us. We were showed to our room and everything about our stay was explained in detail. The room was very clean and lots of extras like plenty of products in the bathroom, tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes on arrival. Breakfast had a lot to offer, full English, cereal, fresh fruit etc Overall an excellent stay and guest house, highly recommend"

"The host was acomodating and really helpful. Easily accessible via texts. We never actually saw her. Room was prepared for us and welcoming, refreshments were available on arrival and kid found little fridge greaf. Some little things in there that makes the room not be worth 10/10 like little TV never working or shower leaking so needing to use one of towels to make sure we don't drown neighbours, but we would return providing that the order becomes easier. Unsure if I'd book via hotels.com...

"On arrival I was given a room but there was no heating so it was very cold. The Manger happily moved me to another room with a heater in which was better. The room itself was clean and in good condition with plenty of tea/coffee. The mattress though was very hard, not comfortable at all and quite crunchy.
