"Room was super clean and had air conditioning which was a huge relief during a heat wave. Food downstairs was really yummy and the garden was really nice. Easy walk from the train station too. Would recommend this place!"

"We stayed here for 2 nights recently and was blown away with the accommodation. The Guinness Arms had just gone throigh major renovations and we were lucky to be one of their first few guests. From the moment I booked the service we received was amazing, the room was stunning. "The room looked ok but on closer inspection not so good! Bathroom had mould in the tile grout in the shower and the remaining bathroom was bare plaster. The toilet seat was not attached properly. The bathroom had some sort of sewage maceration system that would go off every hour throughout the night! Nobody knew how the tv worked!! Four remotes for 1 tv!! "Beautiful old building which has had good levels of investment into making it a fine hotel. Very well located in the centre of town but with plenty of nearby parking. Well appointed, if small, rooms, attentive and welcoming staff although needed more staff at breakfast as many guests had to wait too long to be seated. Breakfast was excellent though, lots of choice and good quality."
