"A much better hotel than the rating. A touch tired and the plumbing is noisy due to the age of the building, just needs a few floorboards raised to fix, but the bedrooms are very good. Breakfast was overpriced at £18.50 though and nothing outstanding."

"Arrived early at the hotel, wanted to check in didn’t expect a room, however it was ready so they let me have it. Explained all about the parking reserved me a space, showed me where the car park was and how to get onto it. Very helpful staff, very clean room, nice hot water, bed a little hard but a good nights sleep was had, lift was out of order which was explained to me straight away asked if I could manage to walk up three flights of stairs, was offered help with my luggage, breakfast was basic compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in but plenty of it& very nice. All in all I was made to feel very welcome, nothing was a problem, the hotel is dated in need of redecoration which I understand is underway. However the welcome from the staff, cleanliness, nice breakfast more than made up for it. I would stay here again, definitely recommend it. "

"A traditional Dales Market Inn in a traditional Dales market Town. Great for a couples stay-away, especially mid week. Dining room is so popular that booking a table on reservation is advisable. "

"I stayed at the Wilson for a couple of nights when working in nearby Whitby, a ten minute drive away. Sneaton is a quiet hamlet near to Ruswarp and is very quiet so great for a peaceful night of sleep. The bed at the Wilson was comfortable with clean crisp bedding. The room was on the small side as it was the attic of the Wilson BUT I was there to sleep after long work days. The room was well set out with a window looking out to the coast, two chairs were placed near the window so I enjoyed my cup of tea on waking. The car park was large enough to afford plenty of spaces to choose from. The downstairs bar and restaurant looked to be very nice, however, I missed out on both as I was an early start and late finish so also missed out on breakfast "

"I was very happy with the hotel and staff. room was perfectly adequate with plenty of tea and milk, something lacking in other places iv stayed, very clean all around the hotel, always greeted by any member of staff with a hello at any time of passing. The biggest plus was the price, £40 or £50 cheaper than any similar standard place within a long distance. Excellent effort and nice to have stayed there. "
