Long Jumps, Hurstpierpoint College Next to the bridleway that links the college with London Road, the A273. The chapel is to the right whilst the buildings of Star House are to the left. Decided against testing out my hop, skip and jump as the frost would probably make my landing a little more painful than usual.
Hurstpierpoint College Built in 1851-53, St John's was designed by R C Carpenter who was also responsible for Lancing College. The knapped flint buildings give it a forbidding look which may have been the original intention. Looking up College Lane to its junction with Chalkers Lane. Beyond that the it becomes Malthouse Lane and continues on to Burgess Hill.
