"Our overnight stay at The Portland guest house went very well. We managed to park close by and the check-in process was very speedy. Unfortunately, though, I hadn't taken into consideration that, being a town house, there would be a lot of stairs with an open balustrade which was an issue for my partner who suffers from a form of vertigo but, after explaining the situation to Rachel, Sian dealt with it quickly by putting us in a room on a lower floor. " basic but very comfortable accommodation 10 minutes walk from the nearest pub.The room was a decent size the bed was comfortable there was plenty of storage. The bathroom and shower were good with plenty of toiletries. there is plenty of parking room. I would take a torch if walking to local pubs and restaurants as the road has no pavement for about 100 metres and is quite dark but the road is quiet on a night"

"We were a family group of 12 meeting up to celebrate a special birthday. The house which was very spacious was beautifully furnished and the large kitchen equipped with everything we needed.
