Scattered family met here for Thanksgiving. We all enjoyed ourselves! 10 adults, 4 small kids, & a dog. We had plenty of room & things to do. Nicely stocked kitchen. The fire pit had nice benches & wood to burn although the description says it does not. We took different routes to & from the cabin & none of them were treacherous. The lake view is incredible! And a Christmas tree was there. Nice!

We had a great time. The cabin is beautiful and the view of the lake is awesome! Bonus…The owners left the Christmas tree up for us. The configuration of the beds/bedrooms was perfect for our family. The basement was a perfect hangout room for the dogs, the kids, and even the grownups. We all said that we would stay there again.

The view is spectacular and everything was right there for us. Hard time finding the road back to house the sign not very open to oncoming cars had to backtrack. But otherwise it was great relaxing and you will enjoy everything there is to offer.

Chris (owner) had said the pictures don’t do it justice and promised a spectacular view, he did not over promise and under deliver.
This is a must see for anyone considering it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Crown Jewel Vista! The view is the first thing that strikes you--there is no way photos can do it justice! The place was large and accommodated our group of nine very nicely. There was enough stuff to do with the deck, fire pit, pool table, multiple televisions, etc. It served as a good starting point for our exploration of the Raystown Lake area. Plenty to do in the area for sure, including hiking, great food, and lake activities. My main suggestion for the property would be to add a hottub or a pool as that would have been amazing to relax in after a fun long day!

First impression was breathtaking. The view and the house it self is so well define that no words can describe it. I wish we had more time to stay cause 2 days isn’t enough. The drive to the house is treacherous if you do not have the proper vehicle. But it was one of the joys for us when we drove over there, it reminded me of my country back in the days. Thank you so much for this experience and will definitely come again.

The view and the decor were all appropriate for a mountain retreat but the house hasn't been kept up well enough for the price we paid.
The cons: Kitchen is dated and carpet that is tripping hazard should be removed (it is taped down in places). Kitchen also needed to be cleaned better before we arrived. I ended up cleaning and sanitizing the whole thing.
The roller shades in the bedrooms were mostly broken or not installed properly. They are essential since the sun comes in all the windows. The locks on bathroom and bedroom doors either didn't exist or work properly. Furniture was dusty too. Master sink had a slow leak. The deck really needs to be stripped and repainted. There is a carpenter bee problem. Mattresses were not comfortable at all! The maintenance man showed up twice in one week in a back hoe to collect water. It was very disruptive and we were not informed.
The pros: The view is just stunning. It is very quiet and private. You can't even see another house. Lots of wildlife to be spotted on the road when coming and going. Great fire pit outside. We really enjoyed that. (It wasn't cold enough to use the fireplace inside.) The leather furniture in the living room was really nice as well in the basement. The rough hewn logs in the ceiling were a perfect accent. There was also lots of space for our group of 12 to sit and eat or to relax and play games indoors and out.
The Seven Points Marina and beach area were great. Only 40 minutes away. We rented a pontoon boat and had a blast. The ice cream at the Seven Points Bait and Grocery was delicious! We also explored Lincoln Caverns and did some hiking.
Shopping at Giant and Walmart were also 30 minutes away. Be sure to check out the Amish market too. They had the best baked goods and freshest produce.
