"What a venue! I'd always heard about Close House as a great location for golf, but never really thought of it as a place to stay. Its small enough to be personal and intimate. Not a huge venue that can feel overwhelming. Credit to all the staff, polite, welcoming, and always served with a smile."

"There was a problem with the shower it was stone cold. Robin deducted some money from my bill as a good will gester. Before we checked out a plumber was there to fix the fault for the next guest . These things happen and it hasn't put me off staying again . Food was fab room was clean and service was excellent. Definitely recommend. And will stay again."

"Cannot rate the Bridge House highly enough. The B&B is a stone's throw from the (best bit of) wall and 20 steps from a great little pub to watch the sun set. The room, bed, and shower were all perfect and the breakfast was the best I had all trip. What's more, the hosts clearly don't think twice about going above and beyond for their guests, making sure that I had ice for a nagging injury from the trail despite my late arrival. Just a rare level of hospitality. "

Great hotel and a nice price.
"You would think for the price, there is something sub-standard about this hotel. Not the case at all. It offers great value for money, with friendly staff and a nice comfortable room. The included breakfast is an added bonus. My daughter was very happy with it. There is also a TGI Friday and KFC across the car park. Snacks are available to purchase in the lobby, and there is also a bar serving snacks. My daughter forgot her toothbrush, so the receptionist was able to provide one for her. Staff were very friendly and good to converse with! If you are going to the Metro centre or Beamish, even the airport this is an ideal place to stay. I will return!"
