"Absolutely wonderful! The gentleman at check-in was fantastic & ready to cater to our every need. The surrounding area was beautiful. The wine bar next store was superb. The breakfast buffet was awesome! I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The only downside was that our room was really hot without any way to cool it down except for us to open a small window…& because we needed to keep the blackout curtains closed to sleep, there was no way to get air circulating through the room. Don’t let that keep you from coming here."

"The folks at Guesthouse Fludir also fun the hotel across the road. They have a really good restaurant, and they are very helpful. We had a booking mixup but they handled it all perfectly--no questions asked. Highly recommend them. "

"Great spot to see the Golden Circle from, without driving all the way from Reykjavik with all the tour buses. Newly renovated, comfortable beds, nice showers, cool little hot tubs in the middle of the property, and beautiful bar/restaurant area. Kind of sad they didn’t let us know about happy hour when we checked in, but they DID honor the Expedia VIP perk for a free drink. Somewhat of a side note: if you get hot easily, on a sunny summer day, one side of the hotel (where the rooms face the sun all day with their floor-to-ceiling windows) gets REALLY hot. Like a greenhouse. Needless to say, they don’t have AC or fans in Iceland. I had a hard time falling asleep until it got way late and we aired out the room via the mini window. "
