As so many others had questionable reviews, i thought the Golden Star might be too good to be true, but in fact it was perfect, a standard room with a great view over the square and the city beyond, large bright period windows, and lovely touches like real keys (!) as well as a good sized fridge, a safe, and all mod cons. And surrounded by the beautiful buildings and parks of the castle’s historical centre. The tram stop...

"The hotel is highly professional and has bellhops to take you and your baggage to your room. The bellhop is highly professional and very helpful in general. The single rooms are small, but very clean and well laid-out. Breakfast is fresh, and consistent with usual Czech offerings for the meal. They also have the option for currency exchange with some markup, but not as bad as ATMs."

"Delightful reception staff. Beautifully renovated mediaval building with some unique art pieces. To get to upper floors was a bit tedious with need to take two different elevators Breakfast had limited fresh fruit selections. As we stayed for 11 days,we have noticed some days were mediocre, depending on number of guests. Excellent location."

"This hotel was great to stay in, so beautiful inside. The area is generally quiet. Although up a large hill it is in a decent area however people with mobility issues would struggle with the hill. Would stay in this hotel again and recommend to others."
