"I booked my hotel stay in advance without knowing that they had no microwaves. Knowing so, I was able to message Damari, the hotel manager in advance and she was able to accommodate our stay and was able to put a microwave in our room. We had our children's with us so it made everything much easier for our needs. Thank you for making our trip. "

"This place was beautiful! The community area had a lakeside view with a gas fireplace and new modern furnishings complete with refreshments. Our suite was on the third floor and we had a spectacular view. The bed and linens were clean and comfortable. We appreciated the full kitchen and grill downstairs that was available. They even had grilling utensils for us to use. We loved walking everywhere and hope to stay again when we visit Grand Marais. The fireplace in our room was the only disappointing feature as it’s just an electric facade. "

"My boyfriend and I had a lovely weekend stay at the Dovetail-Mokki location. It was such a great location, everything is so accessible and there was a great binder with a list of places to hike, eat, etc. The checkin and checkout process was incredibly easy as well. Can't wait to come back in the future!"

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels and I know there are no 4 star hotels in Grand Marais. Know your area and people research where your going. Keep your expectations reasonable. Expedia is full of whiny premadonnas. "

"Loved this place for our Spring Break trip! The cabin and outhouse were very clean, and the kitchen was stocked well with utensils, pots/pans, and salt/pepper. The location was beautiful, and felt like we were all alone out there. This was a wonderful place to stay, about halfway between Grand Marais and Grand Portage. Great hiking spots nearby too!"
