"Staff friendly and efficient, despite having a large but very well behaved french school party. My double room was "cozy" and would have been a squeeze for two people with 18 in bed/wall clearance one side and 30 in bed/sloping wall the other. Ok for single occupation. Access to the room was a maze."

"Was our first time staying here. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, easy to find. Room was good, bathroom could do with a bit of an upgrade. Would stay here again. "

"Very friendly staff. Rooms nice, beds really comfortable. Lovely breakfast area and lounge. Two pubs across the road as a change for evening meals as only booked B&B. We were there on a very hot week but had aircon in rooms. Large free car park which is a bonus round York. Bus services along the main road are frequent. No4 from outside Cross Keys pub takes you into centre which is only 1 and half miles. Would definitely stay again if visiting York. "

"Lovely hotel. Perfect to get into the city, lovely courtyard for drinks. Well equipped rooms when easily adjusted temperature. Breakfast was fine."
