Shady Rest in Hot Springs MT.
Hello! Welcome to Hot Springs! A small town, about 500 people. The main attraction is soaking in the mineral water, limp in, leap out. There is four places to soak. The Shady Rest has a big parking area, a plug in/water for camper, fenced in yard, fire pit, back patio/BBQ. It's a small cozy home, 3 blocks to town. This is also a great location for exploring MT. Flathead lake, Polson, Kalispell, Glacier park, Missoula, floating rivers, hiking, all about an hour away. Or just a nite out, Go soaking, eat at a local restaurant, take a walk to a local bar or the wilderness, or Camas health food store, the Symes hotel, for food and a soak, BRU coffee is good too. Thanks to all our guest's, and their descriptions! Any questions, please ask. There is a large tv, with internet also. A corn hole game, and games inside too. One more detail, it is likely you'll see wild turkeys and deer roaming around!

I am new to this review of accomodations thing. The owner called me directly to facilitate check in procedures, which was nice and appreciated. The little house was great... A bit cold when we arrived but warmed up quickly. Loved seeing the vintage Frigidaire ice box. Very pleased with the bedding.
Would stay again in the opportunity calls for.
Thank you.
The little house is cute, clean and delightful. It was charming and warm inside with artful decorations. I was arriving with my 5 year old and there were even children’s books out for her to enjoy.
Host is always welcoming, had a beautiful stay. We use this rental as a central point while we do a visit in Columbia Falls, then come back & enjoy a soak at one of the wonderful hotsprings. There is nothing I'd change @ this rental. It is very comfortable, like my home away from home.

When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. I cannot say enough great things about tis property. We looked forward to having coffee on our back deck in the morning. We actually had a four-day event in Plains, MT; the drive back and forth wasn't bad at all. I highly recommend that if you are within 30 or 45 minutes of the Shady Rest, you book it. It's so much nicer than a hotel. You literally have all of the conveniences of home in a picturesque setting - a great shower, comfy bed, full kitchen, and a living room to relax and put your feet up. I highly recommend Shady Rest! You will not be disappointed.
A. This is a hidden jewel. So quiet and tranquil. The Perfect place to relax, recharge and reconnect. Thank you Tonna for the best stay and precious memories. NamasteJane
Check in was a breeze, the host lives in a separate house on the same property. The house is an adorable vintage home. The beds were comfy. Theres a 1940s(?) stove with a newer matching retro fridge. Theres a back deck with a grill and table to sit at and admire the beautiful yard while you drink your coffee
Our stay was absolutely perfect with no recommendations for improvement!!! The home has no air conditioning but I believe that because of the location with the trees it never ever overheated and was always comfortable and we were there in early July.. the neighbor adjacent to us without working in his yard and noticed we were perplexed about that special wood they provide for the barbecue and came over to help us... in general Hot Springs is just a small town with friendly people and a place where you can rid yourself of all cares... we love it. You are supplied with more than enough of everything that you could possibly need and it is very homey and comfortable. There is a restaurant Fergie's with good food friendly service and just a relaxing good time... Buck's grocery has everything you could need and the coffee shop I forget the name but you will find it is very friendly and accommodating with good coffees! Tonna, the property manager, is very prompt with responding to all of your concerns from the time you make the reservation and through your stay - she is wonderful! We visit Hot Springs every year and this will always be our choice from now on... thank you Tonna for your help and making our stay just perfect

It is small quiet house, small garden in the back with fruit trees. Two bedroom, we used the one off the TV room and the bed was perfect, perhaps best bed I've ever had in a rental. Place is pretty quaint, good value, about a 1.5 hours from Glacier NP. The little town has a couple inexpensive hot springs to enjoy. One cafe in town.
This is a cozy little two bedroom house with everything you need for a comfy stay. It also has a nice grassy yard for the 4 legged members of the family. The host is on site and very accommodating.
Cute little cabin in the wonderful town of hot springs! All the amenities you could ask for, a full sized kitchen and a big backyard for your four legged friend. The host was more than accommodating and gave us some local recommendations as well as offered us a deal if we wanted to stay another night but unfortunately the cabin was booked before we could take her up on the offer. It is very reasonably priced for what you get. I loved the toiletries that were in the bathroom - especially the lemon scented soap from Italy!
This was our third consecutive Memorial Day weekend at Shady Rest, and once again, it was absolutely wonderful. Tonna and her husband have created such a beautiful and peaceful property. They’re always so kind and respectful of our privacy, yet incredibly accommodating whenever we need anything. While we usually come for the nearby hot springs, this time we found ourselves spending most of our time right at Shady Rest. The fenced yard was perfect for our 2 small dogs, and the firepit made for some cozy, relaxing evenings. Every time we stay here, we leave feeling completely refreshed and recharged. We truly couldn’t ask for a better place to spend our time. Thank you again, Tonna. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!
Quiet neighborhood, simple but adequate accommodations. Pleasing landscaping. Excellent hosts. Easy access to hot spring resorts. No complaints. Enjoy the peace and quiet.
It's a small cabin with a wood stove and a cozy stone patio to catch some rays. The artwork and decorations are lovely. The only heads up I'd give is to point out the hot water comes from the underground caldera that feeds the hot springs in the area, and it smells of sulfur. Bring your own drinking water
