"Moderate Double Room on 8th floor. Reasonable size for a couple. Bed against the wall which was a little inconvenient. Small (too shallow) safe in drawer. Nice bathroom. 8th floor room at rear had a view of the wooded hill and a glimpse of a few castle buildings. Annex entirely non-smoking except for a smoking room on the 2nd floor. Excellent WiFi speed. Clean. 2 washer dryers: wash and dry 3kg load in 2 hours Y600. Staff were very helpful with a little English language skill. Great location on tram line, a short ride to Dogo Onsen, just at the north end of “downtown” Matsuyama, and just south of the castle (walking distance.)"

"Had a wonderful stay. I booked the premium room with queen bedin the central building, Room was big, very comfortable. Fairly well insulated for noise. Aircon worked well. The toilet was spacious and there was ample hot water with very good water pressure, blackout curtains could be better at blocking out sunlight in the mornings, but it wasn’t that big a problem for me, I would recommend a stay at this hotel. "

"Upon arrival the staff kindly informed us of our forwarded luggage from the previous hotel. Which was already placed in our room. Upon entry we noticed 1 piece of luggage was missing. I want to thank the staff of Dogo Yaya for their hard work in getting the luggage to our hotel within 24 hours of arrival. Service was amazing. The onsen facilities around the hotel were good and the hotel provided the necessary clothes and towels. The breakfast buffet had a large variety of foods which we enjoyed a lot. I highly recommend the hotel if you're staying in Matsuyama. Next time I will consider booking a night extra, 1 day was too short. "

"First off, the location was great, about a 10 minute walk from Matsuyama station, and right next to Matsuyama Castle. While the hotel is older, the room and bathroom were clean. There were some stains on the carpet and wall paper, and the plastics in the bathroom are little yellowed, but still overall clean. The air conditioning worked well, and the the room was quite large, at least by Japan budget hotel standards. I paid slightly more for a castle view room, and the view was definitely worth the extra money. Overall, I think the hotel is a good value, personally had no regrets staying here, and would gladly stay here again."

"The building was somewhat outdated, but it was well-maintained and clean. Most importantly, the service was excellent. When I originally reserved two rooms for my family, they were on the separate floors. However, during check-in, the staff updated one of rooms from a single to a queen-size bed, allowing us to stay on the same floor at no extra changes."
