The space
OCEAN VIEW Home with the peaceful and gorgeous ambiance of the North Beach area nestled in the trees in this private subdivision of Copalis Rocks.

Featuring a 3-sided wrap-around DECK leading into the main living area of the home, which has, 1 BA, LR, DR, and Kitchen...almost all w/ Ocean Views. The Upstairs features 2 BDs w/ OCEAN Views, 1/2-BA & storage closet. Walk up the path behind the home to a landing w/ a fire-pit and room to play outdoor games. Walk to the beach in 2 minutes.

Please note: This listing may not suitable for guests with accessibly challenges. There are stairs to the property entrance and bedrooms.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Your adherence and understanding are part of your tenant agreement.

Copalis Rock Lane starts at the gate. The road is paved up to Copalis Rock Lane S. Turn left and follow a dirt/gravel road that's suitable for most vehicles. Follow the road down toward the beach and bear right when you see a fork. The road will dead end and our driveway is to the right. A fun journey to discover this hidden getaway by the beach.

Dogs: We love well behaved dogs at our cottage. We have three of them. We charge $110 for up to 2 dogs per 7 night stay to cover maintenance and extra cleaning. We will provide a water dish and a sheet if your dog happens to jump on the sofa. If your dogs relieve themselves on the property, please pick up the #2s and throw them in the trash. A cleanup fee of $100 will be charged when we find poop in the yard. If your dog loves to roll on the beach, or a dead sea creature, please wash them off using our hot/cold water hose by the side of the house.

YOU MUST REGISTER your pets in the section that asks for number of guests. Adding your pets triggers the pet fee on you estimate, charges summary. If you do not register you pets at the time of reservation and you bring your pets please expect additional charges and/or reservation cancelation in line with rental policy.

SEPTIC SYSTEM:
Here are some basic rules fir the septic tank you should know.

Never Flush Anything Other Than Toilet Paper

The first major rule is never to flush anything other than human waste or toilet paper. This means no “flushable” wipes, baby wipes or feminine products.

Anything other than toilet paper could disrupt the delicate bacteria balance in our tank. In addition, it could clog the pipes or the tank’s components.

Our guest limit is strictly enforced for this reason. Exceeding the guest limit, without prior approval, will result in a $200 per night fee for each guest per night. Please do not assume a baby, or infant does not qualify as a guest. Again, special arrangements are possible and may include additional fees.

Avoid Harsh Chemical Cleaners

The sole reason why the septic tank works so efficiently is the bacteria that exist in the tank. They break down the waste products in the tank and allow them to be filtered through our drain field.

Using chemical cleaners and products could mess with the bacteria and even kill it. As a result of the bacteria not functioning properly, it could cause septic backups within our system. Make sure any cleaning products you use have a “septic friendly” label. Do not use dish soap other than Dawn or provided dishwasher tablets. Our toilet paper is septic friendly.

Remember That All Pipes Lead to our Septic Tank
Anything that goes down any drain in our home ends up in our septic tank. So, water conservation should be at the forefront of your mind. Avoid running water appliances, like dishwashers and washing machines, at the same time. The more water your system must filter, the harder it works.

INTERNET:
Copalis Rocks provides a remote and tranquil setting for a quiet and peaceful get away. We have gone to great lengths to provide amenities like internet. We also have a mobile phone signal booster that works with some carriers. If you use wifi calling you will get better reception for your phone, but please note your location is not easily identified by 911 service.

Our internet is provided by Starlink. This is a very cool part of SpaceX family. SpaceX is launching new satellites frequently and is in high demand. It is arguably our only option to provide Internet access. The good news is we get noteworthy speed supporting video streaming, conferences and an experience on encounters with traditional residential cable access. Due to the nature of satellites, you may encounter temporary outages in certain weather conditions. This is infrequent, but please expect occasional disruptions in service disruptions as you would any residential internet access.

The Satellite, network and wifi equipment are mounted in inaccessible locations and accessible to out tech savvy quests, or those hoping they can fix issues with a power recycle. A $500 fine is charged for guest attempts to modify equipment or settings. There is a queue for onsite technicians and well intentioned inventions my take the system offline impacting future guests. If you encounter internet connectivity issues, please notify us and we will check our remote equipment monitoring system. 95% of issues are a result of satellite position and are short (less than 1 hour) in duration. If internet access is urgently needed. There are options for public wifi in Ocean Shores and Seabrook. It's our hope, you are visit Copalis Rock to escape the network tether, but we can't underestimate the convenience and entertainment it provides.

MUSIC SOUND SYSTEMS;
Sonos and Bluetooth speakers:

We provide hearty bass rich speakers for your music experience.

Download the Sonos S1 app and connect to our sonos play 5 speaker. The sonos radio content is available to all guests.

You can also add several music and radio services, like Apple Music, using you personal account and credentials. Don't forget to remove these services prior to your departure.

PLEASE! For sonos customers, please do not reset the sonos controller with your account. This will potentially disrupt availability to future guests. A $100 service charge is applied if the sonos system is connected to another account or reset to factory defaults. Simply add and remove your music services to listen to your content.

The TV sound bar is a Yamaha 107 with beefy bass and virtual surround sound. This happens on the HDMI mode. You can change modes using the remote or on the speaker control panel. Switch to Bluetooth to provide a room filling speaker for your smart phone or tablet. To pair your device, hold the bluetooth button until the bluetooth light blinks. You will then see Yamaha 107 for pairing.

Once the device is paired, you can stream your music and return to HDMI mode for excellent TV sound. The sonos and bluetooth do not work together. Excessive volume and bass/surround will result in distortion and possible speaker damage.

Control the volume on your device starting from low and increasing slowly. A high volume input is the leading cause of sound distortion and potential damage.

Please note, we cannot provide technical support or troubleshooting for these speakers. We hope one of the speaker options will work for you.

PLEASE! Do not move the sonos speaker from it's location in the kitchen. The is not an outdoor speaker. Damages resulting from moving the speaker may result in charges to the guest. We hope you enjoy our sound amenities.

INDOOR WOOD STOVE:
The wood stove is currently unavailable to our guests until further notice. Required maintenance and proper wood supply are necessary to prevent indoor smoke and potential carbon monoxide related injury. A $500 fine will be charged for wood stove use. The firebox was recently cleaned and it will unlawful use will be apparent and noted by our cleaning crew.

It is our intention to install a propane system in future with split heater and AC. We currently do not have AC and we have electric heaters downstairs.
