"We enjoyed our stay in Hilo. The apartment is the ground floor of Ingrid's family home, and has its own separate entrance. Having been to Hilo before, we didn't feel we needed a fancy tourist vacation destination lodging location, for a place to stay. "The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood. You need a car to get there but its not far from downtown. The garden in front of the cottage is an impeccable oasis of tropical plants and birds, frogs and a koi pond. The inside matches the images from website and surpassed my expectations. The host is kind and gracious. You have your own parking spot and if you are returning at night there are lights on the path to the cottage. I can not wait to come back and stay there."

"We had a positive experience in every way! The location is wonderful - just 10 minutes north of downtown Hilo in a quiet neighborhood safe for walking. Spacious, clean and well stocked home with washer & dryer that we could use. The owner was kind and helpful. Close to a beach side park. Good price for the amenities. Cool breezes throughout and a great view of the sunrise and ocean! Very very Nice! We even heard some lovely live guitar music coming from downstairs one time. Great neighborhood."
