We didn’t get the room we paid for, there was someone smoking and our room constantly smelled like smoke, the AC didn’t cool and we had to sleep with our portable fans on. Kudos to the staff they were friendly, understanding, and very nice.

Me and my family really loves staying here at Island Colony. I would like to give a big Mahalo to Mrs. Pat she has always made us feel warm and welcome and also give the rest of the front desk workers a big Mahalo they always have the Aloha spirit. My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. I truly enjoyed the amenities like the pool and the hot tub and the close proximity to the shopping malls, restaurants, and Waikiki Beach. My hotel room was satisfactory and I enjoyed the scenic views from my balcony.

Did not like: checking in, not getting the room I payed for, none was available until the next day: did not feel like changing rooms so stayed in the room they gave us: we left the do not disturb sign on our door: twice housekeeping entered, without permission, and cleaned the room, leaving the do not disturb sign inside on the counter.

Workers were friendly. Our room wasn't ready when we got there. Waited for 30 mins. Went back, waited in a long line & it still wasn't ready. So they gave us an upgraded room but we requested 2 beds for 4 people but got a 1 bed room. Room was in horrible condition even tho it was an upgrade. Smells & no AC. Switched out to a 2 bed. Room had roaches & possibly bedbugs. My kids had bug bites on their bodies. We ended up staying just 1 night. No one got any sleep. Front desk was very nice tho.

It was a good place to stay with kids. We felt safe in the hotel due to the security measures that are taken. The one thing that would be nice along with holding your bags until you leave after checking out would be a location to shower before leaving the island. A lot of the flights leave late at night and if you want to catch those last rays of sunshine before heading home it would be nice to wash off the salt water and sand. Overall, it was a good place to stay, and I would stay again.

Staffs are super nice. Location is pretty nice, close to shopping center and beach. Property is outdated. The elevators that are in the building a gong show, you never know which one is going to open. Pool is clean, but the hot tub was pretty gross. Can get loud since property is beside a major road.
