"Overall, the place is good and worth the price but we had a few things to note out. When we checked in, the place was extremely hot and since there is only AC in the living room, the rooms were hot and we barely slept that night. We tried to open windows but didnt help. Another thing - we got parking violation (no fines or charges) even though it was reserved for us. We have to register to the leasing office but there was no form provided to do so. If you are staying here and dont see a form, go to office or you might get a parking violation.The community is amazing, it has a pool and 2 mins walking you can see the ocean (there is no beach per se). The community cleaning staff were really polite and shared amazing history about Maui.The place is really close to a few beaches and cafes (with amazing bakery items). If given chance to go again, we will but if they cool the place down before check in (especially in summer)"

"Everything but the bed was excellent. The murphy bed was great, but the mattress was awful. Our backs and joints hurt every morning. But overall it was a peaceful R&R. Grounds and pool were lovely."

Pikake - West Maui Beachfront Condo! 20 Feet from the Ocean!

"The view of the ocean from the condo cannot be beat – so, so beautiful! Hearing the sound of the ocean and feeling the ocean breeze were wonderful. The condo has an excellent location for access to many restaurants. The down side was the lack of cleanliness and upkeep, and no A/C which was needed at times.Other great aspects of this condo unit were having a patio facing the ocean, which was a great place to enjoy a leisurely breakfast or just sit and watch the sea turtles or the beautiful sunsets. Since there was no A/C, the ceiling fans and box fan were very helpful, but were not always enough to keep you cool and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Our biggest dissatisfaction with this condo was the lack of cleanliness. The cleanliness was the caliber of a low rated hotel chain. At first glance, it looks fine, but you soon find out how dirty everything is. The floors were absolutely filthy, not even swept under the eating table. While plugging things in behind the night stands, we saw accumulated dirt and dust from lack of cleaning. The microwave front panel and handle had smudges when we arrived. Everything needs a thorough cleaning."

"This was such a great little one bedroom, beach across the street and could see the water from the living room! Walking distance to great coffee and restaurants. There was laundry on site which was a nice amenity. Pro tip, use the pull out couch as a lounging ocean view napping area. "

"The location was absolutely perfect. Right next to the water!! We got to enjoy the sunset every night and the kids loved it. We really liked all the “extras” in the room including an ice chest, chairs, umbrella and beach toys that made it feel extra special. Room 400 was definitely a little nicer than 403 but you rent these room for the locations and the views! Having AC was really nice too. The hosts were great and the communication was excellent!Highly recommend!!!"

"This is a wonderful place to stay in Maui. You are “just 20 feet” from the beach with easy access to the water for swimming and snorkeling. The view is marvelous with the sound of the surf throughout your stay. We found the location great and could get to other beach locations, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores with ease. Marcie was terrific and responded quickly even when we experienced a water leak upon our arrival. She acted quickly and had repairs completed in a reasonable timeframe. She even offered a one night credit. The unit is well furnished and parking is easy. You will love it here."

"My family loved our stay at this lovely condo at Papakea Resort. The condo had everything we needed to make life easy on vacation. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make easy dinners at home. They provided everything we needed for beach days without worry. I think we all loved the view from the lanai the most, and could have sat out there all day listening to the ocean and enjoying the views. We loved grilling by the pool, while enjoying the pool and hot tub. The resort was a perfect place for a family vacation! "
