"The host and hostess were top notch. Very friendly and accommodating. It wasn’t a traditional hotel with a regular dining area but it had a fully stocked kitchen area and access to refrigerators. You could purchase your own groceries and cook yourself or pay a little fee and use the supplied groceries. A little different from what I was used to but it was in a good way. There were some pretty reasonable restaurants and in the area as well. I would stay again if work brought me to the area. "

"We stayed in two rooms as the first one was at the end of the corridor and you got disturbed by people using the stairs which were right on the other side of the wall. It was obvious the rooms were in older buildings which meant you could hear the other guests in corridor. There was no kettle or tea/coffee things in the room something I would expect 4 star accomodation to have. Reception did lend us a kettle once we mentioned this. The restaurant serves excellent food at a 4 star accomodation...

Had some trouble finding it in the dark and were worried about missing check-in time (our fault for not having read the instructions carefully enough) but managed in the end. "Stunning setting for this castle on a moat. We were delighted with our large comfortable room in the castle up on the 2nd floor with a fabulous view across the grounds, gardens and moat. Dinner at the Michelin restaurant was beautifully presented and served, and breakfast was especially excellent and thoughtful.Staff were kind and helpful and always gracious. The gardens were delightful, even in the pouring rain. Wish we could have stayed longer."
