"I was looking for a hotel to stay in right outside of the avenue of giants so I could start my day driving through it on my way to eureka. I wanted to maximize my first day of vacation after flying into San Fran and ended up not getting into Redway until 12:30am. The hotel staff were flexible and were able to provide us with late check in. I’m medium boujee about hotels but also on a medium budget, especially when it’s just a quick sleep over. My top priorities are safety, cleanliness, and location. It checked all the boxes. I was nervous about the location being remote or sketchy but it was right next to a restaurant and a gas station and it felt safe. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place in the area for a moderate price. "

"Wow, what a gem this place is! Absolutely gorgeous, friendly staff and great decor. It was nice to sip our coffee in the lovely lobby in the morning. Beautiful lawn covered in white flowers. Drove over to Fortuna for DELISH pizza at Paul's Live from NY. Fantastic pit stop on our NorCal drive!"

"There were so many things to love about this house and we can’t wait to stay here again! *Host was an excellent communicator, helpful and always prompt with answering questions.*House was very clean & welcoming and looked just like the pictures (better in person, actually). I LOVED how the top floor had so many windows for natural light and views of both the mountains & the ocean. *Very spacious with comfortable furniture throughout. The various balconies/patios also offered excellent views both during the day and at night.*Loved the master bedroom & bathroom! So spacious with an awesome shower that had two separate shower heads. *Really appreciated the filtered water dispenser in the kitchen and the ability to open a window right by the stove. *I completely forgot to take pictures of things inside, but I would 100% recommend staying here."

"Property was great. We had everything we needed as far as kitchen amenities, didn't need all but good to know you have options. Plenty of bathroom supplies. Master bath had a shower plus spa tub with shower. Alex, property host, was very responsive to our needs and provided all necessary check-in & check-out procedures includes his phone number in case you need assistance. "This is my second year to stay at Comfort Cove for the annual "Gimme Shelter" (GS) kayak fishing tournament and community event. I came back because my experience last year was so positive. Last year I was here solo, this year my wife came along. It's close to the activities near the campground meeting pavilion and boat launch. My wife says she loves that king size bed. The view is great. We discovered a new nearby restaurant, the Surf Point Coffee Shop & Bistro for breakfasts and lunch and the nearby Gyppo Ale Mill for dinner. Great times @ Shelter Cove. "
