"The place is gorgeous and the owner and his in house staff were very very on point. They was one major factor that needs to be addressed. There is 67 stairs from the ground to the top floor where the top bedroom is. We had our mother who’s in her 80s. I’m in pretty good shape, but it was difficult. There’s two people that didn’t come. They were also in their 80s with a bad back. Would’ve never made it up to the kitchen, which was about 10 steps left. I wish we could’ve seen the reviews, but it...

"My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay, we enjoyed using the bikes to ride to the beach or town. We especially loved Hector the friendly cat that hangs around the place. "

"I loved this place. We had a great stay. A few things to note: all rooms face the outside. Like a motel. Kitchens/living rooms are outside too. Mosquitos everywhere. To be expected but best to prepare ahead of time. Pool was nice to have. It was hard to keep steps clean because they were outside but they were very clean when we got there. Glad they had someone on sight to check us in because the original location sent wasn’t accurate and he was able to send me location in wayze, which worked...

"Great location with lots of wildlife and directly across from the beach. Pleasantly surprised with AC in each room. The space worked perfectly for 7 adults. There are no self service laundry on site however the host offers the property manager to wash your clothes. The stay overall was great. The last night stayed the racoons kept us up most of the night and even tried getting in our bathroom. "

"Beautiful house and property tucked right in the jungle, with direct beach access. Very close to Punta Uva which has great swimming and surfing for kids. Easy drive to Puerto Viejo for restaurants. Super clean, very well maintained, good A/C. Hosts were extremely helpful and responsive - they organized a private driver from SJO to the house, and then to the car rental the next day. Highly recommend!"

"The home is so unique and beautiful, the trees around the yard brought Iguanas, monkeys and even a sloth came to visit us. It was a magical stay for us and our two young boys."

"This home is very rustic. No TV, No AC, manual Washer. The bathroom is updated and the bedrooms were nice, both with king beds, one upstairs, one downstairs. That said, the location was just north of town, an easy 1 mile walk. We did not have a bad meal the entire month we were there. The beach across the street is a lovely black sand beach, although the water was a bit rough in January. We had a really nice trip and Susana was responsive with answers to questions and items that were needed in...

"This place was amazing and exactly what we wanted. Quiet, right across from the beach and fairly priced! The food was great from the breakfast buffet to dinner as well as dessert! Every single person we encountered was friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay here again if we visit the area!"

"We had such a wonderful stay at Namu Garden & Spa! The location is beautiful—just a short walk to the beach and right in the heart of town, but it still feels peaceful and tucked away. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything about the space felt thoughtful and well cared for. What really made the experience special, though, was the staff. They were incredibly kind and helpful every step of the way—super responsive on WhatsApp and always willing to go the extra mile. You can tell they genuinely care about creating a great experience. We’re so grateful and would absolutely stay here again!"

"I absolutely loved my stay at Terrazas. The location is fantastic, close to a ton of restaurants and bars, and practically across the street from the beach. The staff is super welcoming and kind, and they even surprised me with dessert for my birthday. The rooms were very comfortable and the AC worked very well, as did the hot water for a shower. I also really enjoyed the toiletries; everything was top notch. I highly recommend. "
