"I stopped over in Weeki Wachee as part of a birthday getaway with friends. The Salty Siren was just perfect for what we needed it for, a place to rest our heads at night. It was quaint and adorable and we enjoyed everything about the theme. We used the kayaks each day of our trip and it was so much fun. We didn't see manatees but also knew there would be a higher chance had we visited earlier in the year when it was still chilly out. We used the little bonfire set up and it was perfect. Also...

"We did not receive the “house rules” brief until the second day of our stay. This information should be either on the rental announcement or given to the perspective renter for their consideration before committing to rent the transaction. The “ad” states that there is a parking space available. When I got to the property all the parking spots on the pavement were taken. There were no cars parked on the lawn. The house rules brief I received the second day allow for patrons to park on the “lawn”...

Although entirely satisfactory, this is an old house and has some quirks, such as a toilet sticking out of a closet in one bedroom and a very spongy floor in some places. "Our family was looking for an all in one place by the river to stay, and Joanne’s house hit the mark. The house was large enough for a family of five to sleep comfortably, and with the water out back we spent hours fishing and kayaking. We also loved making s’mores each night at the fire pit. The property was calm, quiet, and beautiful, and from start to finish I couldn’t have been happier with communication and support from our host."
