The Hackensee near Diemtramszell in Bavaria has that "WOW" factor in winter! It makes for a nice easy flat walk. It's also pretty in summer, but you don't want to swim there - too many aquatic plants!

"We had a wonderful time staying in this beautiful home. We especially like the peaceful outdoor setting, right on a small river, with beautiful sunsets! The layout of the gome was great for our group of 4 couples. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom, and plenty of room to spread out. The host was very responsive to all our questions!"

"Great location. Old hotel recently renovated to high standard. Boutique style. Breatfast worth including. Chef very nice and helful. Lots of options. 5 minute walk to train station and 20 minute walk to oldtown where lots of bars and restaurants and action. Walk from train station a bit dirty and several homeless people but Hotel great!"
