"We received a warm welcome from the proprietors in spite of the fact that we arrived early, and they were in the throes of vacuuming. They recommended an excellent local cafe for lunch, and later in the evening shared their outdoor space and conversation over a glass or two of wine. Thanks for a fabulous newfie welcome!"

"Absolutely beautiful hotel! The view out our lodge-room window was spectacular. The room itself was large and very well-appointed, with a full kitchenette. Be aware that they do not include breakfast or maid service. The location is quiet and great for hiking and exploring the Irish Loop and Avalon coast, while still only about an hour from St. John's. We loved it and had a wonderful stay! (and yes, we did see whales in the harbor right out our window!)"
