--THE LOCATION--
Our reviews can attest to the convenience and beauty of the location. The house is located in the heart of Surf City right over the bridge. It is walkable to all the best shops and restaurants in Surf City as well as adjacent to Surf City pier, open 24 hours for fishing and views. You can see the lights of the peer shining on the ocean from your private hot tub. Steps away is the best ice cream, tacos, and oceanfront restaurants in town!


--THE HOUSE--
Remodeled & furnished in 2021 with guest experience top of mind, Sweet Escape was designed to be your home away from home. The house is a reverse floorplan to really heighten your ocean view with bedrooms on the first 2 levels and kitchen/dining/main living area on 3rd. (*Guests will need to be comfortable with stairs as the house is 3 levels.) All beds are made up with linens for guest arrival. We also provide luggage racks, extra pillows, blankets, etc.

FIRST FLOOR
Walk in the front door to our large open living area, two bedrooms, full bathroom, and kitchenette. The couch turns into a queen sized sleeper sofa allowing a total of 8 guests to sleep on this level. We created the 1st floor to be the FUN ZONE for kids/teens with foosball, Hot Shot Basketball, along with game or movie nights.

Bedroom 1: Twin over Queen bed, dresser, nightstand, closet, wall-mounted TV

Bedroom 2: Triple twin bunks (for children only please)

Kitchenette: Microwave, oven, sink, fridge/freezer, extra storage

Full Bathroom w/ soaps, shampoos, blow dryer, towels provided.

SECOND FLOOR
The second floor houses 3 bedrooms with stunning views as well as comfortable beds and can sleep 6 guests in beds.

Bedroom 3: Oceanfront Queen bed, nightstand, dresser, closet, wall-mounted TV, slider out to oceanfront deck (w/ hot tub)

Bedroom 4: Oceanfront Queen bed, nightstand, dresser, closet, wall-mounted TV, slider out to oceanfront deck (w/ hot tub)

Bathroom with double vanity, tub + shower located between the two oceanfront queen bedrooms (shampoos, soaps, blowdryer, towels provided)

Bedroom 5: King bed, 2 nightstands, closet with shelving
Ensuite full bathroom attached to King Bedroom

Laundry: 2 brand new (2023) stacked washer and dryer units (laundry soap/supplies provided)

THIRD FLOOR
Kitchen/Dining/Living Room: The third floor is a real show stopper with beautiful ocean views as far as the eye can see. Two sliders open to the deck allowing you to be as close to the ocean as possible while in the comfort of home. Our newly remodeled kitchen is as functional as it is beautiful and is well stocked with brand new appliances and everything you’ll need to make gourmet meals should you so desire. There are 6 barstools in addition to a table that seats 8-10 allowing your whole group to gather and enjoy a meal together while you soak in the views. A pantry provides extra storage as well as houses 2 high chairs.

Coffee: Wake up to our coffee bar which includes a Keurig and complimentary K-cups as well as drip coffee, and enjoy a peaceful morning watching the sunrise over the ocean from the deck.


--AMENITIES--
Internet/TV: We have high-speed internet and cable TVs with streaming apps in all living areas and bedrooms (except triple bunk room). We ask guests to bring their own passwords for streaming services so you can access your accounts.

Work Remotely: We provide a foldable table and folding chair that can be moved to the room of your choice for remote work.

Smart thermostat: 2 separate ecobee thermostats keep the house comfortable for everyone.

Baby Gear: We provide 2 pack n plays, 2 high chairs, as well as children's dishes/utensils. (We do not provide bedding/blankets for the pack n plays.)

--PETS--
Some pets do better than others on vacation. We are happy to consider your dog without a pet fee. If you would like to bring your dog please send us an inquiry telling us a little bit about him or her. We ask that he/she be well-trained and not go on beds or sofas as these fabrics are hard to remove fur from. We allow up to 2 dogs. We provide dog blankets for furniture.

--OTHER THINGS TO NOTE--
We recommend purchasing private traveler's insurance as we do not offer refunds for cancellations outside of our policy. Hurricane season runs from June 1st -November 30 in NC with most activity in September and October. Trip interruption insurance (travel insurance) is highly recommended during these months. If the island evacuates, then we would certainly refund.
