The Revolution Hotel

"The Revolution Hotel is a great bargain hotel in a great Boston neighbourhood. The area is quiet and quintessentially Boston, and the hotel itself is funky and comfortable. That said, I stayed here for one night last year, and I remember it being a bit tidier and shinier than it was on this trip. The shared bathrooms may not suit everyone, but they are generally clean and completely private. I did notice that on this trip, there were more scuffs in the paint, the bathrooms weren't cleaned quite as frequently, and it just seemed a bit worse for wear. Still, the place is clean and seems very safe, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I'd advise anyone considering this place that the parking lot is a 5-10 minute walk away and costs about $35/day. I also recommend visitors bring a bottle of water, as it isn't provided in guest rooms. Honestly - it is a perfectly fine hotel for a night or two, as long as you understand what you're getting!"

"The hotel was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, and the location was incredibly convenient. However, we were assigned a corner room that was significantly smaller than what was advertised, which was disappointing. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely book here again when visiting Boston, but we would request a room that is not located on a corner."

"Our room had a window where you can see out toward the city. It was so nice to be so close by everything to walk around at night. The room was comfortable. I even wore the robe that they put in the rooms. Awesome place definitely will come again."

"Place was clean and surprisingly quiet for how many people were staying there at the time. Location was perfect for an easy commute via the T when it was up and running (it was down for service). The continental breakfast available was light and lacked variety, but there are plenty of walkable restaurants in the area. Our room did not have a closet and we were not able to hang up our clothing due to the fact that the set of hooks provided, in place of our closet, were clearly not attached to studs and were falling off the wall. Overall would stay here again out of commute convenience"

"Great location , walk to shops ,restaurants ( Newbury street etc) and attractions Convenient T stops for those using public transportation Couldn’t stream on their TV - not sure if it’s my VPN Find your own parking if you have a car Reasonable rates considering it’s Boston Good breakfast Sound insulation not good - could easily hear ambulances , sirens etc"
