"I still can't get over how affordable this was--mind you, it was a last-minute one night stay. All the same, I only paid under $300 for a "junior suite" (ENORMOUS room!), with photo-snapping views of the Houston skyline. Right in the heart of a slew of fabulous restaurants and cafes, and the hotel's own bar and restaurant is worth staying in for (high quality of food, good variety, and nicely decorated interiors). I don't know Houston very well, beyond the fact that it is HUGE, but I think I would want to stay here whenever I visit in terms of 4.5-star luxury for 3-star prices. Staff are very friendly and welcoming; you feel like a treasured guest who stays often. Room was quiet, no noise from outside. Full pay bar in room with nice selection (but I didn't have anything)."

"Very, very nice stay for the price. My sister and I got a 2-bedroom suite for our stay, and despite a mishap (one of the showers clogged), the staff was quick to rectify the situation. The gym, outdoor pool, and $7 breakfast were all a plus. This location is 30 mins from Downtown, but I would still choose it all over again. Very safe location; there is a Walmart down the street and a bunch of restaurants and fast food chains. 4.5/5! I go to HTX once/yr on avg: will definitely be coming back."
