"Cute B&B with everything you need very central close to both restaurants and grocery store. No problem to share bathrooms. Breakfast is good and includes everything you need to start the day. Comfortable beds and quiet area although next to the railway station. Recommend this B&B! "
"We had a delightful stay in this charming cabin, nestled in a magical garden. The setting was serene and absolutely enchanting, making our night there a wonderful escape from the everyday. A perfect little haven for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat."
"Lovely old fashioned hotel. Staff were very helpful and the breakfast was good
There was no lift but the staff did carry the bags up stairs. Only small negative was there were too many dos and donâts notices in the room.

"A wonderful experience to stay in an authentic old converted nunnery across the street from the world famous abbey and many other sites and a block from the water. Also breakfast was delicious and the beds comfortable. "
"My daughter and I had a fantastic stay. So cozy and friendly! Excellent breakfast and very flexible and kind. We were offered hot cocoa when we came back from a chilly walk and home-made apple juice for breakfast, just as an example."

"This felt like staying in a friendâs farm house. What a neat way to take a break road tripping through Sweden! The house is spacious, plenty of games, pool table and places to roam after being in a car all day. Coffee and tea with all the fixins are readily available. Sit and read or chat with the other quests. We really enjoyed this unique lodging experience."
"The main building of the Gyllene Uttern looks like a Scandinavian castle. Perched high above Lake VĂ€ttern, it has a grand view of the lake, whether from a large terrace, one of its several lounging spaces, a glassed-in dining room, or from rooms facing the lake. It also has a baronial dining room, in which the very good breakfast buffet is laid out. We dined there in the evening, as well, and the food was excellent. We enjoyed comfortable suites overlooking the lake. The one disadvantage is that the old, castle-like hotel does not have an elevator, which made carrying up luggage a challenge, especially as we three couples were of ages 60 to 82. There was no indication of staff to assist with the luggage, which is the reason I gave "Staff & Service" 4 stars instead of 5. It has two newer two-story auxiliary buildings, which do have elevators. We have stayed in these before. The rooms are very comfortable, but not as charming as staying in a pseudo castle. "
"Excellent location across the road from castle and three minute walk to main square. Decor a through back to the past , charmingly quaint. Donât be put off by the room photos on this website ! Our room was a "
"Unfortunate ârenovationâ of lovely old building took all the charm and character and trashed it for artificial surfaces, ugly bland furnishings, and tiny cell-like rooms. Do hotels really get stars for having a pool table or a shiny plastic chandelier? Sad. Front desk staffed by cheerful young woman, which was the only saving grace of an empty town and depressing hotel. "
