"The cottage we stayed at was clean and absolutely adorable. It had bright but cozy vibes. Dinner at the restaurant was very good. We were only there for one night, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The northern lights were easily seen from the location with the low light pollution."

"Cute historic building, very well maintained and clean with a lot of thoughtful amenities. Everything is clearly labelled and check-in instructions are clear and easy - just make sure your phone has battery. Amenities that were thoughtful are a kitchen with specific drawer and fridge to leave food for future guests, an "honesty" fridge where you can buy snacks/drinks and just pay at the machine at the front desk, and flyers for things to do in the area. They also provided me with a 2200 ISK voucher for Valeria which was super sweet! My room was spotless, as were all common areas. The shower was really nice with good water pressure and my bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up in the morning. There's a patio at the end of the hall upstairs with a perfect view of Kirkjufell. The town of Grundarfjordur is also very charming and I would have loved to spend longer there. Beautiful guesthouse in a perfect location! I hope to be back one day."

"The young man at the front desk was extremely helpful and offered a Northern Lights wake up call along with helpful hints about town. Great beds & a super shower. The breakfast wasadequate. This is a cute little port but not much here."

"This was a very small but adorable room in the inn. The mural was such a nice addition. There was limited space for the two of us and I'm not sure if I would have wanted to stay for the whole week in a room of this size with limited amenities like an in-room fridge or tv, but it worked well for the night. We did store some items in a small fridge that seemed communal in the hall and there was coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available in the shared dining space. In the morning there was an incredible breakfast spread available that was my favorite breakfast of the trip by far. The check-in and out process was very easy and there was easy street parking if the spots are taken by the inn."

"This is actually a great spot, but it is 38km from the nearest restaurant or grocery store. We missed that detail and had to improvise dinner. They have a cafe with an honor bar, but only pastries. If they sold a couple staples that would have been excellent. Other than that, it’s great."
