The room were very modern. I was very surprised of how nice they looked after walking into the lobby and seeing the added ramp and the 2 worn out chairs I was like oh oh. But after going into the elevator room and getting into our room I was like NICE. Very nice and clean. The only issue is that the shower is a bit too small and when you have the windows open the skunk smell from that type of smoking cones in. We stayed at the Pierdrei at the beginning of our trip and the end. The second stay was just as enjoyable as the first. This time we stayed on a different floor and the hallway decor was so colorful, artful and quirky. There were miniature scenes on the wall like those at the Miniature Wonderworld in Hamburg. Room was small,but useful. Large bed,with warm duvet(october visit). Bathroom was well designed,if a bit compact. Staff friendly and helpful. No laundry facilities according to a desk clerk,but I was only there for five days,so it wasn't really necessary. I did not make use of the breakfast/cafe,so can't comment. Would stay there again if I return to Hamburg. Within walking distance of airport,though there is a bus stop on corner,so you can use that.
