Clarion Hotel The Pier
10/10 Excellent
"Super clean Lovely room, shower amazing, bed comfortable. Had a room with a view of the water, which was a very nice experience. Staff ultra helpful and nice. Bar closes early downstairs, and no immediately close drinking venues, however the city was 10 minutes away by car, 25-30 by public transport. Breakfast was super good. Easy to indulge. Had a burger in the downstairs restaurant one evening, it was as nice as any hotel burger. Couldn't complain. As an Expedia customer they threw a 12€ voucher per day at you to use in restaurant or for snacks. Nice touch as well. A little too utilitarian for kids, not much to do in the hotel. Nearby is Vassen for street foods, beer house and water views. But if you're in town for the liseberg amusement park, might be a little for our for that. Close to the city, 5 minute boat ride during the week, 10ish mins by car. I'd have zero hesitation staying there again."

"The wellness experience was very pleasant. The gym had everything, including views and energy drinks for sale. I’ve never seen this in a Canadian or American hotel. The front desk was exceptional, and the hotel breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all great. Very happy with my stay here, the spa products, and the sauna experience."

"It is a bit out of the way but treat it more like retreat in a quite place, better to get there by car and they have plenty of free parking. Rooms are clean and big with all amenities being practical. Lot of games for kids to play hence they would never want to leave the hotel, and must say all those areas are well maintained as well. Staff are very professional and helpful. Wellness area is ok but it can get a bit crowded as it is open for hotel and outside guests I believe. Tried only breakfast in the restaurant and it was very good with plenty of choices."
