"Good experience to stay in traditional Japanese house.clean and kitchen well equipped. Washing machine was convenient. Due to it being an older building, insulation isn’t very good and gets very cold in the winter and need heaters in all rooms. Location is not great as it is walking distance to most places. Bus stop 7 minute walk. Could have provided more furniture such as chairs. Overall nice experience besides being on the cold side."

"The house and concept is great though there are a few things to note before booking. It's very spacious. Use of kitchen and laundry is a bonus. Well heated. The bathroom is accessed by going outside and you can see right through so make sure the curtains in the main house are closed if you are with friends or family (no privacy possible from bathroom side). This was ok for us as we were a couple. The bathroom does get very steamy so it's difficult to bathe properly and wash after shower. Also,...

"Pleasant stay at Sakura, close by Kyoto station and very convenient for travel. The neighbourhood also offers very good options for dinner or convenience store. "

"This should be a nice place to stay. However it is an extremely noisy area during the night (despite being on a small side street). With a large amount of cars and motorbikes passing during the night it is not a good place to stay as the walls are extremely thin."

"Very nice traditional house. Very clean. The host is very friendly and accommodating. However this house is best suited for 4 people or less, not for 6 people nor people that has problem going up steep stairs as the two bedrooms are upstairs. Also, with only 1 shower it is not convenient for 6 people that wanted to shower. The other two people had to find another place to stay since it was super cramped."

"Once we were able to get the access code to this hotel, everything was great! It was clean and had the the toiletries you would need. It had the essential dishes you would need.and small kitchen appliances. The area around was walkable and quite. I would reccomend staying here and ill definitely be back if we find ourselves in this area again. It was perfect and accommodating."

"The house was everything i wanted but not so accesible to the train station, closer to the bus station but kinda hard to figure bus rides for me. I would stay here again esp if i was with a group, it makes tou really fell like youre in Kyoto, my favorite part is the ofuro, the bath on its own is so great and the jap garden."
