North west from Hinton Hill A pasture in the foreground with a pile of - well - something. Looking in the direction of Westerleigh and Coalpit Heath with the M4 running across the picture in between, thankfully out of sight :-). Not sure where the buildings near the bottom of the hill are, they are probably in the outer regions of Hinton.

View from Hinton Hill. While we are on Hinton Hill we may as well take in this view of south Gloucestershire. Panning left from 1105707 we are looking toward Codrington and Yate, they are there somewhere. The little white van near the centre of the screen is on the M4 motorway, sharp eyes may pick out a few more vehicles. The strange white things looking like chimneys are the insulators on electricity pylons much closer than you think. The pylons are almost the same colour as the background haze. Fields pasture
