"We had a wonderful time at Kinugawa Onsen. The traditional Japanese rooms were wonderful and the breakfast and dinner buffet were wonderful. We also enjoyed the public baths, karaoke rooms, and reflexology massage. The gift shop was also lovely stocked. The views of the mountains and river from the rooms and floors were wonderful. Highly recommend if you want some low key, nature retreat from your visit to Japan."

"This property has seen better days. My single room was like a prison cell, just 1.5 meters wide. There was no view. The food was of very low quality but beer and sake were all you can drink for 70 minutes. There are no room amenities. You have to pick them up in the lobby, even the yukata. The outdoor and regular baths are on different floors which is very strange. The clientele is mostly retirees and they seemed happy enough."

"Extremely remote (nearly a 3 hour bus ride from Kinegawa Onsen Train station into the winding mountains) which was both an adventure and unnerving. "Closed to lighting exhibition as you can walk. Lobby was terrific but room was not like that. I stayed a night in Japanese styled room, it was stinky once I opened the door. There’s no restaurant to walk-in unless you not reserve hotel’s board. The only nearby restaurant was Yuba udon. It was very delicious but I preferred meat 😂"
