"The staff, and locals made me feel so welcome. I stayed overnight for business and was perfect. As a single female I was doubtful, but wow I was blown away with the kindness of all. Room was spacious, comfy bed, bedroom and bathroom was spotless. I would definitely stay again. Car park is safe. They are also dog friendly which in my eyes is 10 out of 10. The food arrived piping hot, and home cooked. "

"Lovely place to stay the night before our trip to Alton towers. Spotlessly clean, comfortable room. The hosts were so lovely and friendly. Breakfast was absolutely superb, especially the fresh eggs straight from their own chickens! We also had a little wonder around the garden and the whole place is so tidy and well cared for, it’s a pleasure to spend time there. We will definitely stay again. "Susan is an excellent host. Unobtrusive, but there when needed and nothing is too much trouble. She also provides an excellent and varied breakfast. Although in the middle of the village, the property is private and secure. Our room was comfortable and lacked nothing. It was also warm as the temperature dropped below freezing outside. Thoroughly recommended. "

Beverley is a wonderful host and from the moment she greeted us was full of advice, and tips to make our stay more comfortable. The bed was so comfortable I crashed out and didn’t stir at all. Whatever your expectations are they will surely be met and exceeded. If you are looking for a quiet oasis to relax and retreat from the hustle of daily life, this is it. The gardens are work in progress and offer the potential to make this a much saught after retreat location. Would we come back. Without a doubt! "
