Large, Stunning Cabin with Breathtaking View of Piedmont, Pilot Mountain

Thank you for checking our listing! We’re excited to have you share in our wonderful get-away. Our cabin is located in Patrick County, VA on Groundhog Mountain just a couple minutes off of the Blue Ridge Parkway. It offers an incredible view of rolling foothills, mountains, and peaceful farmland. Our view encompasses Pilot Mountain, Hanging Rock, Sauratown Mountain, Stone Mountain… just to name a few landmarks! We have both an upper deck and a very private, lower patio—each having a spectacular view of the Piedmont, below. During the day, you can sit on our upper deck or venture below to soak in our hot tub in perfect peace, taking in the quiet scene of farm life below and enjoying the vast beauty around you. In the evening, you can enjoy breathtaking sunsets… like a massive, dynamic painting masterfully completed before your eyes! It never ceases to amaze us that, regardless of how often we take in this beautiful, peaceful view, we come away feeling rejuvenated and with renewed perspective. The scene is an ever-changing beauty from one day to the next and even hour to hour.

What is remarkable about the view at our cabin, is that it takes on a whole new life after the sun goes down. In the twilight, you’ll see little lights start to flicker in the small towns below. As it grows darker, the entire vista becomes lit up with twinkling lights reminiscent of stars reflecting off an enormous, serene lake! Who knew rural farmland could take on the look of a city at night? However, the peace and quiet is not lost during this transformation… you can relax in quietness just taking in the sparkling beauty.

The view is not the only perk for staying in our home! Stainless steel kitchen appliances, washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen, newly furnished and decorated on three (3) levels. Landline style (VoIP) telephone and WIFI are also available.

The cabin is located in a beautiful, rural area, but there is so much to do! Antiques, pottery, Mom & Pop stores, farmer's markets and flea markets are plentiful. Dining options range from unique, local restaurants to fine, elegant venues. There are highly rated golf courses and several wineries & vineyards nearby as well. The area offers many state parks with options for hiking, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, biking, etc. However, many people will just want to escape and enjoy the peace and quiet. In essence, there's something for everyone!

• Main level:
o Kitchen, breakfast nook with seating for 4, den with vaulted ceiling, fireplace (with electric fire for ambience), dining table with seating for 8, and a half bathroom. ROKU TV (access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.) as well as digital antenna for local channels. Upper deck is off the main level with seating, a propane fire pit, and a new, propane grill.
o Master Bedroom on main level includes a King bed, walk-in closet, full bath with double sinks and deep Jacuzzi tub.

• Upstairs:
o Two bedrooms: one with a King bed and the other with a Queen. Full bath in hallway, and a foosball table in the loft.

• Finished basement:
o Game room with sofa and TV for game system (we have not yet purchased a game system, but you can bring your own),
o Kitchenette with small fridge/freezer, microwave, sink, cabinets, etc., den with sectional sofa, ROKU TV and BluRay player, stone fireplace (with electric fire for ambience), full bath, and high table with built in checker/chess board.
o Bedroom with King bed
o Bedroom with Queen and twin over twin bunk beds
o Access to patio and hot tub
o **sheets are provided, but NO TOWELS for BATHROOMS or HOT TUB.

**NO SMOKING or ILLICIT ACTIVITIES, and NO PETS. NO CHILDREN UNDER the AGE of 12 ALLOWED in HOT TUB.
