"If you are looking for a location close to downtown Mt. Airy, this might be the place for you. Everything, e.g., Andy Griffin Museum, Main Street, etc., is within walking distance. The space is as described in the VRBO info and pictures. There is a set of about 20 stairs to climb to enter but we (two seniors) made it fine during our two night stay without any issues. The little elves Cottage was a perfect place for us to not only enjoy the town of Sparta, but also have a comfortable and cozy visit with each other.
